Each child's situation is different, but the ideal time for braces between 8 and 14 years, while the head and mouth are still growing and teeth can more easily be straightened. The more complex the interval or biting problem and the older the child, the longer the period of treatment. Most kids can count on wearing full braces between 18 and 30 months, with the subsequent carrying of fixing at least a few months to two years. Your child should avoid sweets, chips, and soda.

Hard crunchy foods like popcorn, nuts, hard candy can break braces. Also, you should reduce foods like carrots or apples into small pieces.

How about oral hygiene? More important than ever

Braces have a tiny space where food particles and plaque get trapped. Your child should brush gently twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and a soft bristle toothbrush and rinse thoroughly. They also need to floss between the curly braces and under the wire with the help of a thread embroidery floss. Teeth should be cleaned by a dental professional regularly to the gums and teeth healthy. Insufficient treatment while wearing braces can cause enamel staining around braces or groups...
