How to cure periodontitis with the help of a laser?

Cure periodontal disease
Periodontitis is a serious disease of the mouth cavity and may even lead to dedention. Periodontitis must be cured in proper time to avoid complications. The first symptoms of periodontitis are blood appearing on the toothbrush, pain while chewing, bad breath, reddening or unusual colourlessness of gums. The disease may be caused by a number of factors. They are irregular mouth cavity hygiene, lack of chewing activity of the jaws, edges of crowns and fillings that stick out and injure gums, genetic predisposition. The disease consists in appearance of dental deposit on the enamel of the tooth near the gum. The deposit consists of bacteria and product appearing in the result of their vital activity. If you do not start treatment at this stage bacteria may go deeper and form a periodontal recess. Late treatment of the disease can make the situation even worse.

Nowadays laser treatment of periodontitis is considered to be the most effective method.

Unlike using mechanical influence, the laser ray can make periodontal recesses sterile. The laser influences the main cause of the disease - pathogenic microflora that causes inflammation and destruction of tissues. The effect of laser therapy is seen after the first procedure. Gingival hemorrhage and inflammation are diminished, sanies and pus are not emitted from recesses, there is no more pain while chewing.

One can use laser to treat periodontitis at the starting stage of the disease as well as cure its severe forms. Modern laser method is used to remove infected tissues. A unique medicine containing chlorophyll is applied to gums. Eventually there is a reaction with pathologic tissues. The result of the procedure is the formation of substances rich in oxygen. The reaction lasts for 30 minutes. After that laser treatment begins. After the first procedure inflammation and gingival hemorrhage will be gone.

This method is very effective as it steams all pathogenic microflora out of the mouth and it is easier to clean and disinfect cervical parts of the teeth and hard-to-reach periodontal recesses. Moreover, the laser has a positive effect on the teeth enamel as it polishes it. It is importliant that the method is bloodless and does not injure gums while traditional methods often cause soreness and discomfort because special curettes were used to clean the recesses. Treatment of periodontitis with the help of a laser is painless. Sometimes a slight local anesthesia may be needed. The method is painless because the laser ray cleaves the nerve endings and capillaries and joins the together at the same time. One of the advantages of laser therapy is that the tissues are regenerated quicker. Metabolic processes in tissues are stimulated, the tissues are renewed, and synthesis of new cells is fastened.
